Welcome to my new website
Tuesday, October 9th, 2007 Dear fans, Hello to you all and welcome to this new website. I like to keep my life private but thought it would be a good idea to have a website for fans and work alike. It’s run by a friend of mine and I’ll try and keep it as updated as possible. Please bear with us as it’s still being built, maintained and tweaked. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support; it hasn’t gone unnoticed. I will write to you guys more in-depth soon. Hi, I’m from Brazil.
I had the chance to watch Hollyoaks through YouTube and it was amzing to watch yur storyline as Craig Dean.
All I’m saying is that your performance was great!
You make me feel like I was feeling what Craig was going through. Amazing.
I just wanted to say that, I think… It’s not about the Craig before John Paul or the Craig after John Paul. It is about everything about Craig in the show.
You really are a good actor.
And for that all, now I’m loving UK!

Just wanted to say thanks for all your hard work over the last year with the storyline between Craig, JP and Sarah. It sucked me into HO as a viewer (had never watched before) and certainly boosted the show’s standing as a producer of quality storylines and great acting.
Best of luck with your auditions and ideas for the future, I’ll look forward to watching this space!
Just a little question, do you see yourself moving more behind the camera in the future, as whenever I see or hear you interviewed you always seem to look at your work from a very directorial point of view- ie, not just your performance, but how the sequence has been put together as a whole. So is this a direction you’d like to pursue?
Anyway, thanks once again for your fantastic performance this year. A credit to you.

Great to see your website up and running! Have followed Hollyoaks for many years now and have really enjoyed the way your character has developed! For me, the ‘McDean’ affair was a crucial turning point for Hollyoaks and throughout the acting from yourself and James Sutton was brilliant! Had me hooked from day one.
Really look forward to seeing what you do next (a little jump back to Hollyoaks would be great
) and good luck for whatever you do in the future!

Your website has allowed me to speak directly to you, Guy. So I want to tell you what I think about you – but without any intentional embarrassment to you. So I’ll apologise in advance and here’s what I think:-
You’re hot! There’s no getting away from this fact. You have stunning good looks with beautiful brown eyes. It’s clear that you keep in trim through your sports activities and are deliciously tanned from your sun-bathing. Why deny this fact? You get hotter every day.
I love your voice and the soft way you speak, and from what you say in interviews away from Hollyoaks, I believe that you have a very amenable personality and are probably a loyal and worthwhile friend to those who know you personally.
Okay that’s the eye candy comments. I’m sorry but that’s what I see. Recently someone asked me if I had seen perfection, and you came into my mind’s eye, so I said yes as I thought of you alone. But all of this is in addition to your obvious acting prowess.
I’ve watched the way you’ve handled the Craig/John Paul storyline in Hollyoaks this year, and been wowed by your performance. Your ability to convey emotions through subtle facial expression and hand movements – love, hate, confusion, happiness, fear, sadness and distress – is nothing short of masterful. I’ve been there every step of the way and felt the passion with which you acted your part – twisting my own emotions with the credibility of your performance. It has to be regarded as one of the great acting feats of any drama currently on tv and I am not being patronising when I state this.
Now and again someone comes along who takes your breath away with the power of an acting performance that is far from run of the mill. On this occasion that ability has come from within your person, Guy. To me such performance are precious jewels that one can reflect upon and enrich the culture that is part of our lives.
Your acting has gained my enormous respect and I know that this is true of other fans and critics. Even though other actors, and behind the scenes people have been involved, I believe that it is you who has elevated a Soap storyline to that of quality drama in its own right. I am glad your own official site is now up and running.
I hope you are enjoying yourself now that you have left Hollyoaks. I’m sure you know that you really are missed by a great many of us and we still talk about the “McDean” relationship all the time.
Your acting has been superb. There are so few actors nowadays who can pull in audiences like you and James Sutton did and I hope that whatever direction you take from here on in, your talent continues to grow, together with your profile.
As you may know there are many forums on different websites dedicated to you as a person and Craig as a character and we can’t wait to follow your progress.
Thank you for making the dreadful Summer of 2007 bearable by being able to watch such a moving love triangle story. You should all be lauded for such commitment to it.
Maybe, if you ever felt you could, a return to Hollyoaks for a reunion with James/John Paul would never go unappreciated by your fans.
Please keep us updated with what you are up to so that we can follow your progress.

Hi Guy
Living in Florida, new to the show via BBC America. Caught up with storyline via youtube.
Amazing performance, great acting.
A suggestion, You would be perfect to play “Cesc Fabregas” in a film about the Arsenal star’s climb from Spain to stardom. A young boys climb to football riches, in a “Bend it like Beckham” type of British Film.
Your body type, your football background, your interest in writing, directing and building a story. If this could be put together, timing wise it could be perfect as Arsenal are resurging at the moment, with a release date of May or June 2008, specially if Arsenal go on to win the league.
Lots of “if” and a lots of convincing the principles to sign on to the project. Do you have the background and contacts to make it happen. Would be great. you would be perfect for it and at the right age for it.
I am moving back to London soon, would love to help put it together.

Hey Guy,
If i’m honest i was never really a fan of hollyoaks, however one day flicking through the channels i landed on E4 and began to watch an episode… it was in the early stages of the Craig/JP storyline and i have to say i was drawn in straight away.
It was like you said a story of confusion more than one of comin out and one that i think you portrayed very well..both you and James were brilliant!
Both very talented actors (and easy on the eye..haha)
Best of luck in the future, whether it be acting or on the other side of the camera (or returning to Hollyoaks for the “sunset ending” that we would all love to see):-)
Will keep tabs to see what your up to next,

I don’t really know what to say as I’ve never done anything like this before but I felt compelled to let you know how astounded I’ve been by your performance as Craig. I have never been so enchanted by a soap story before and I know that is because of you and James. The first time I realised that you were such an amazing actor was the episode where Craig first slept with John Paul. You were incredible. I was in absolute tears during that scene and you’ve made me cry quite a few times since. You’ve made Craig this wonderfully complex and sympathetic character - I can’t think of any other soap character who has such depth.
Your performance has really blown me away and I think you chose the perfect time to leave Hollyoaks (although you are deeply missed - it really isn’t the same without you). I wish you all the best for the future and I hope to see you back on our screens soon.
Thank you so much for bringing me so much happiness, it really has been a joy to watch you on screen (I’m really sorry for that but it was the least cheesy way I could think of putting it)

I know many of us feel the need to give you a personal thank you for all of the work you have done in the past [year] on Hollyoaks. I am from the USA and was introduced to the television program by an online friend, and I feel privileged to be able to view the story between Craig and John Paul. It is a LOVE STORY that so many people can relate to. It developed brilliantly and culminated in a sad but sweet conclusion which I desperately hope you will help to conclude.
I have also been able to see some of your earlier work on the show and I am very impressed by you. I cannot believe you have not been approached for work on films or other drama programmes. I am wondering if you would consider possibly working with bilingual scripts as I know you are fluent in Hebrew and Italian; personally I would love to see you doing a project like that.
I will certainly keep an eye on your forthcoming projects and I want to thank you again for all of the hard work you have done. It has meant so much to so many people.

Hi Guy !! im coming from Indonesia, and if you didnt know where Indonesia is, Bali is part of Indonesia.. Guy, i have never saw Hollyoaks before, nor heard it.. until i search about some interesting soap movie.. the “hollyoaks” appeared ! and i was intrigued.. i watched the entire show on You tube, started records from Februari until the day u left Dublin.. I’d say, your acting is truly amazing.. you really moved me.. i have tears coming down for Craig.. and i hate-hate-hate if JP and Craig didnt have a happy ending.. if only JP stops being selfish (needed to show public affection) and understands Craig’s feeling about dont want to rush everything.. they possibly run a great life.. i really wish Hollyoaks aired in cable so i dont have to watch it from youtube.. i really wish you go back to the hollyoaks..
and, yes, i would love and looking forward to see another your great acting.. it was superb !! two thumbs up and my standing ovation..

As yet another viewer who stumbled into hollyoaks after the beginning of the ‘McDean’ storyline, I immediately became hooked on what was in my humble opinion, the most convincing and intensely acted piece of theatre I have had the priviledge of watching for as long as I can remember, and I’m no spring chicken!
So much so, that I’ve downloaded all the episodes from the beginning, and to see the contrast between the daft young boy who chased after Sarah in the early episodes, and the anguished young man who was ultimately betrayed at the end was incredible. Of course, none of this would have been possible without James, whose contribution was equally important in maintaining the tension throughout.
As for the final scenes at the airport, they were almost too painful to watch, and I’ll admit that from the point when Craig cries “Don’t leave me”, to the ascent of the escalator, accompanied by Dusty’s singing, I cried like a baby. In fact, it affected me so much that I have still have difficulty in accepting that it was only fiction and not real life. And I can’t pay the two of you any higher tribute than that.
I don’t know whether you are aware that the clamour for a ‘Sunset Ending’ which would complete the story, has not abated, and I and many others hope that you and the producers can see your way to set our minds to rest! After all, it would only increase your popularity and profile with the public!
Finally,I would take the opportunity to wish you every success in whatever future career you choose to turn your hand to.

I just want to add my congratulations for the JP/Craig storyline in Hollyoakes. I am so pleased that at last it got an award. I think its success owes much to the committment of yourself and James Sutton. It was so refreshing to see a gay storyline not played out to the standard stereotype.
Good luck in your future work and please come back to Hollyoakes just for long enough to rescue JP.

i loved watching you in Hollyoaks! you made the last year sooo fantastic - the McDean story is the best Soap story i have ever watched. i thought you were fantastic as Craig Dean and James as JP - u had a great and rare on screen chemistry that i miss alot!

Guy, you promised to let us know what’s going on with you and I can tell you that your loyal fans (like me) are suffering from not seeing you on tv, or elsewhere professionally. The photos are great and I hope you’re getting them published in magazines, but please stop by and give us a few words. We don’t just like you, but we admire your acting ability and want to see you in different roles. Forget the SE in HO, that would be great but it’s unimportant in the whole scope of your career. You have so much more to give.

Great that you got a website, i thought you were fantastic in HO, you had me glued in every single scene and i miss seeing craig dean around chester! Cant wait for this ’sunset ending’ that ive heard of, hope you do return for john paul cos that would be awesome to watch. Also think that this priest that is now with john paul is good enough for now but in the long run we all know and believe craig and john paul should end up together.
